The 5 best/worst Trump Thanksgiving tweets Thanksgiving is tomorrow! And what better way to celebrate than to review the many tweets Donald Trump has sent to commemorate turkey day? This year, Trump got a jump on the holiday by sending a series of tweets -- all before 6 a.m. (!) Wednesday -- taking on LaVar Ball and the NFL. What does Trump have in store for tomorrow? Who knows!  But it won't be easy to crack his own top five best/worst Thanksgiving tweets ever. (As always, special thanks to the amazing Trump Twitter Archive for the easy searchability of Trump tweets.) Here we go! 5. "Happy Thanksgiving - I hope everyone can get together to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! It won't be easy, nothing is, but it can be done." (11/26/14)  4. "Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. (11/27/13) --Chris THANKSGIVING POLITICS CNN's Sam Petulla found some interesting Thanksgiving data analysis from researchers at UCLA and Washington State using location data gathered on over 10 million Americans' smartphones and a data set of election results from 172,000 precincts. Here are some takeaways: Families spent about 20-30 minutes less together last Thanksgiving. Democratic voters were 5% less likely to travel. Republicans visiting Democratic areas shortened dinner stays by almost 45 minutes. 'BETTER JUDGMENT' CNN's Juana Summers and MJ Lee report: "Texas Republican Rep. Joe Barton on Wednesday apologized for not using 'better judgment' while separated from his wife and in consensual relationships with women. "The statement comes in response to an anonymous tweet that included a nude image of Barton. Sarah Dodd of Dodd Communications, who is helping Barton respond to the image, confirmed that the image is of him." Read more in their story here. CONYERS CONTROVERSY CONTINUES Juana also reported Wednesday: "Rep. Gregory Meeks, a New York Democrat and a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, said Wednesday that his colleague Rep. John Conyers of Michigan should leave his post as the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee as he is the subject of a House Ethics Committee investigation. "The House Ethics Committee announced on Tuesday that it had opened an investigation into allegations that Conyers, the longest serving active member of the House, settled a wrongful dismissal complaint in 2015 after allegedly sexually harassing a staffer, according to an explosive report published by BuzzFeed News. Attendance Read Brenna's full list (with explanations!) here. 🚨POLL ALERT🚨 CNN's Terence Burlij writes: A new Quinnipiac University poll released today finds that a majority of Americans – 52% -- disapprove of some NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem. But by a two-to-one margin (67% to 31%) voters say players have a right to kneel in protest.   The survey finds a wide partisan gap on that question, with 88% of Democrats and 69% of independents supporting players' rights, while nearly six in 10 Republicans say players do not have the right to protest. More than a quarter of Americans say they are watching less football because of the protests.   For 44% of Americans, though, watching football will be on the menu this Thanksgiving. Politics, not so much – as 63% say they hope to avoid the topic when gathering with family and friends for the holiday. A TALE OF TWO POOL REPORTS CNN's Kaitlan Collins flagged two pool reports from Wednesday morning. Part one: "A correction to the earlier pool report: While the White House communications staff expects the press pool to have a 'low-key day,' the President will NOT have a low-key day and has a full schedule of meetings and phone calls." Part two: "At 9:26 AM the motorcade arrived at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. The pool will be holding at a public library across the street.
